Disaster Recovery Plan

Disaster Recovery Plan

1. PURPOSE

This Disaster Recovery Plan explains how Happy Leads Ltd seeks to protect information, maintain business continuity, and restore access to essential systems and data following a serious disruption, technical failure, cyber incident, data loss event, or other emergency.

The plan supports our wider data protection, information security, and operational resilience responsibilities.

2. SCOPE

This plan applies to business information, personal data, website data, campaign records, partner records, communication records, and other information held or processed by Happy Leads Ltd through its systems, service providers, and approved business tools.

It applies to employees, contractors, service providers, and other authorised parties involved in storing, accessing, managing, recovering, or protecting company information.

3. RECOVERY OBJECTIVES

Our disaster recovery objectives are to reduce the risk of permanent data loss, restore access to essential systems as quickly as reasonably possible, protect the confidentiality and integrity of information, and keep disruption to individuals, partners, and business operations to a minimum.

Recovery actions are prioritised based on the nature of the incident, the sensitivity of affected data, legal or regulatory obligations, and the impact on business continuity.

4. CLOUD BACKUPS

Information and business records are securely backed up to cloud-based systems where appropriate. Cloud backups help ensure that important information can be recovered if local systems, devices, hosting environments, or operational tools become unavailable or are affected by loss, damage, or technical failure.

Backups are managed using appropriate access controls, confidentiality safeguards, and security measures designed to reduce the risk of unauthorised access or accidental disclosure.

5. DATA PROTECTION AND SECURITY

Disaster recovery measures are designed to protect personal data and confidential information throughout the recovery process. Access to backups and recovery systems is restricted to authorised personnel or approved service providers who require access for legitimate business or technical purposes.

Where encryption, authentication, secure hosting, monitoring, or other safeguards are available and appropriate, these may be used to protect stored and backed-up information.

6. INCIDENT RESPONSE

Where a disruption or data loss event occurs, we will assess the cause, identify affected systems or information, take steps to contain the issue, and begin recovery actions according to the severity and urgency of the incident.

If an incident involves personal data, we will assess whether it is a personal data breach and determine whether notification to affected individuals, partners, regulators, or other parties is required under applicable law.

7. RESTORATION OF SERVICES

Recovery may include restoring data from secure backups, rebuilding affected systems, replacing compromised credentials, working with hosting or technology providers, verifying restored information, and confirming that systems are operating correctly before normal processing resumes.

Where a full restoration is not immediately possible, we may use alternative processes to maintain essential communications, compliance activity, and business operations.

8. THIRD-PARTY PROVIDERS

We may rely on third-party providers for hosting, cloud storage, communications, data processing, and technical support. Where third-party providers are involved in recovery activity, we expect them to maintain appropriate security, confidentiality, and resilience standards.

Provider support may be used to restore systems, recover backed-up data, investigate technical failures, and strengthen controls following an incident.

9. REVIEW AND TESTING

We review our disaster recovery arrangements periodically and update them where necessary to reflect changes in systems, business operations, technology, security risks, or legal requirements.

Backup and recovery arrangements may be checked or tested where appropriate to confirm that information can be restored within a reasonable timeframe.
